Gregory Stuart (Founder and CEO)
Greg Stuart is the founder and CEO of StuartUtah, LLC, which develops industrial and retail properties for some of the largest companies in the United States. Greg started his real estate career in 1977 specializing in industrial real estate brokerage. In 1979 he co-founded Commerce Properties, which grew to become the largest commercial real estate brokerage company in the Intermountain area. During his time at Commerce, Greg served as President and CEO, as well as Chairman of the Industrial Committee overseeing all industrial activity at Commerce. He was instrumental in identifying and mapping every industrial property in Utah, which allowed Commerce Properties to be the most competitive brokerage company in the Intermountain area.
In 2012, Greg chose to pursue the full-time development of commercial and retail properties throughout the United States. He has completed over 1,000,000 square feet of development projects in 18 states. His 40 years in the real estate industry has given him extensive experience and the ability to raise needed capital to finance and complete almost any project. He has demonstrated the ability to establish relationships with allies, competitors, and business owners in new markets.
In the past 10 years, Greg has developed and operated resort properties in Hawaii, Utah and Peru. He supervised the development of a private reservation and management system that specializes in reservations for off brand resorts. This project has resulted in a reservation system that increases occupancy and reduces costs. Revenues from this company have grown by 25% per year for the past 8 years.
While developing resort properties in Kauai, Greg recognized an acute need for affordable housing for the local population. This resulted in Greg spearheading a movement to provide housing for the estimated 4,400 homes needed in Kauai. Greg and his team have worked with local and state agencies to bring reasonably priced homes to working families.
Greg Stuart and his group have taken the lead in development of the premier student housing project in Logan, Utah. This facility is located just off campus and will provide housing for 648 students at Utah State University. Greg provided oversight for land acquisition, design, construction and financing for this $45 million dollar project.
Greg Stuart has developed properties for Walgreens, Tractor Supply, O’Reilly Auto, Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, Dairy Queen, Church’s Chicken and Shopko to name a few.
Greg Stuart and his group were selected as the developer for a new medical school in Provo, Utah. This state of the art facility will be known as the Noorda School of Osteopathic Medicine and will feature a stunning campus of 400,000 square feet on 25 acres at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. As co-founder of the institution, Greg has worked for 7 years with the other founders to bring a world class educational facility to the State of Utah. The Noorda College has received pre-accreditation status and will begin classes in the autumn of 2021. Recognizing a tremendous need for physicians in Utah, Greg has worked tirelessly to supply an educational platform for the medical care of the citizens of Utah, and the world.
